Not the best way to start your racing team. That tangled mess of aluminum and carbon fiber is what’s left of Gemballa’s GT3 race car. The car was one of two that Gemballa was running at the Nurburgring race track during the Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring (VLN, for the rest of us).
Koenigsegg’s CCX marked their arrival as a certifiable super car maker in 2006, while the Agera, marks them as certifiably awesome. No one looked at the CCX and said it was perfect. In fact, Top Gear lamented the lack of rear downforce by not having a wing loudly enough, that they fixed with the CCX-R.
Chalk this video up as another reason why Germany is freaking awesome. Two Gallardo’s take to the Autobahn in this video with a lowly GTI as the chase car. He does his best to keep up, but the twin Italian supercars are ludicrously fast when they get underway. Watch the video below for some high-speed street racing action.
2013 can’t come soon enough, now that the 918 is getting some screen time. The lucky bastards at EVO magazine got the opportunity to take a ride in the super car hybrid. If they’re to be believed, this thing is going to be epic. We already have a pretty solid idea of what the 198 looks like thanks to the concept’s debut last year.
