Lemonade stand tycoons take notice; Radio Flyer with Tesla are building  authentic drivable Model S single-seater electric toy cars available for preorder at $499.

Exterior details of Radio Flyer’s Tesla Model S appear downright funny. How real it looks; pint-size. The replica blade wheels, tiny aero mirrors and oval front fascia are dead on. The functional headlights took my attention at first blush. A line of LEDs contouring the headlight unit is mesmerizing on a little toy car.

What is really impressive is Radio Flyer’s “Flight Speed” powertrain. It’s in a technology class of its own. Its lithium-ion batteries is at the heart of this top shelf product’s progressive electric powertrain. Lithium-ion guarantees safer operation, faster charging and longer battery life for more mileage over lead acid.

This Model S is orderable in two interchangeable battery briefcase sizes in standard and extended. The 140Wh standard battery delivers roughly an hour plus of driving equalling about six miles. The extended 190Wh battery offers roughly nine miles equalling up to three hours of drive. Similar to Tesla’s tunable power this mini-Model S embraces that with two in-cabin speed settings; one for max life or one for max speed.

Radio Flyer offers options you’d find on the real life size Model S. Bespoke build your mini-Model S with exterior paint colors, different wheel finishes, batteries and a host of accessories. Extras offered are spare batteries, car cover, personalized license plate and parking sign.

The interior’s standards have just as much detail as the exterior with a smart small batch of tech and controls. Besides the headlight and speed control, the RF-Tesla has a functioning horn, sound system with a media device plug and front trunk. This would be a great gift for the Spring or Summer season. What car would you miniaturize to drive?
