Tuners like to tune things. Even if the car that they’re starting with is a 707 horsepower Dodge Challenger Hellcat, there’s still more potential under the hood. Hennessey knows this, and decided to work their magic to see how much power they could get. The result is 1,000 fire-breathing horsepower!

According to Hennessey Performance Engineering, the HPE1000 Hellcat is capable of making the run to 60 miles-per-hour in 2.7 seconds. It’ll cross the quarter-mile marker in an amazing 9.9 seconds. How is this lunacy possible with a car that’s already struggling for traction stock?

Turbocharging. HPE have developed a twin turbo setup to work in conjunction with the factory supercharger to make a dyno-tested 1,032 horsepower. We can only imagine what the extra performance goodies will do to the already loud Hellcat, but it probably just means it’ll be even louder and more crazy than before!

I’m a huge fan of the Hellcat, especially the Charger. If the 1,000+ horsepower is still livable everyday, I’d consider it. Unfortunately, only 12 cars are going to get the upgrade, so you better act now!
