The V12 Cobra – ‘Nuff Said

Check out this stirring V12 Cobra. There’s a lot to admire in this build; owner Magnus Jinstrand stepped away from convention. He could have stuffed a 700-hp Ford Racing crate motor under the hood and called it a day. Instead, he swapped in a 6.0L V12 from a 2001 Mercedes-Benz CL600. In stock form, this motor served up 362 horsepower. Magnus Jinstrand massaged it to 600 horsepower, then he added some up-tempo racing mods and a smattering of carbon fiber to darken this car’s persona. Our favorite thing about this Cobra: it is sinister in the most charming of ways. If this Cobra were a person, it would be John Dillinger: you’d pay to be robbed by him. Imagine this car robbing you of your last shred of innocence.

Over on Speedhunters there is debate over whether Carroll Shelby would have loved, or loathed this car. There are even some folks suggesting Shelby would have sued over this … a kit car. What do you think?
