Tudor United Sportscar Championship at Road America: Day One
As promised, here’s some stuff from my first day at Road America for the Tudor United Sportscar Championship. It’s also my first official media event I’ve done!
The media center is strictly business, and I felt way under dressed. I had opted for the official auto journalist attire, jeans and a checkered button up. This however, is not the right thing to do. It would have been better if I had stuck with another journalists suggestion and worn a kilt. I mumbled who I was with because I was so nervous, and finally got it out the third time.
I then took a tour of the pits, and honestly that’s what you want to see, so below is the gallery from the first few hours. Now I’ve got to get some food into me before I pass out from heat exhaustion, and try to figure out a way of sitting in a racecar. I have no idea that, but hey, this is a journey. Next time though, I’m bringing a buddy.
Next up is Practice #2 for the LITES class, then GT3 Porsche Cup, and finally the Tudor United Practice. Stay tuned for more pictures and more things happening from Road America!
