Watch a Koenigsegg One:1 Decimate an Audi R8 GT Spyder
Last month, I got a chance to drive a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Going into it, I thought I knew what to expect since I’ve driven supercars before. I was dead wrong. The fury and power of a true hypercar is not something to be trifled with, and something I was definitely not expecting. Hypercars are blisteringly fast. Faster than you could possibly ever think. Faster than a superbike on steroids. They’re just plain quick.
But unless you get the experience to drive them, how can you quantify just how fast these hypercars are compared to normal supercars. Easy, you set up a drag race.
What we have here is a Audi R8 GT Spyder going head to head with the Koenigsegg One:1. The Audi R8 GT weighs in at 3,970 lbs. and packs 553 horsepower. The Koenigsegg on the other hand is a whole other level. Weighing in at just 2,998 lbs., and with a total horsepower rating of 1,341, the Koenigsegg is lighter and has almost three times the power.
Now, sit back, and watch as the Koenigsegg makes the Audi look like it is standing still.
