‘Worlds Greatest Drag Race’ Almost Ends in a Wreck
A 488 Spyder, GT3RS, McLaren 720s, Huracan, and Vegas equals trouble.
Las Vegas is a great place to find amazing shows, more casinos than you can shake a stick at, and of course…lots and lots of amazing cars. The YouTube channel Daily Driven Exotics didn’t just find some amazing cars, they even took them on an impromptu drag race down the Las Vegas strip – with some unexpected consequences!
The first stop for the crew at Daily Driven Exotics was a hidden treasure: a showroom that features some of the most coveted supercars in the world, including a Pagani. This showroom actually featured two of them: the standard Pagani Huayra and the stunning Huayra Roadster. Oh, even parked in a showroom, these babies roar!
Unfortunately, you can’t get your hands on the latter as only 100 of the Roadsters were made, and even with a $2.4 million price tag, every single one of them was sold.
Exotic car drag race down the strip?
Setting up a drag race on the strip isn’t too difficult, unless you’re driving some of the most iconic supercars in the world. A 488 Spyder, GT3RS with racing pipes, McLaren 720S, and Lamborghini Huracan with an insanely-cool wrap line up at a stop light to try to put together the world’s greatest drag race.
But it almost didn’t happen. Twice when they stopped at a light and got ready, a police officer was waiting to keep them in check. Finally, they managed to find the perfect starting line, except the driver of the Huracan forgot to take off the emergency brake once the light turned green.
The e-brake let up and let him accelerate, then re-engaged as he was burning rubber down the strip, causing a massive power slide right down the middle of Las Vegas Blvd. It may have been terrifying for the driver, but it makes for great footage. Check it out!
