Anyone have instructions on removing rear cargo panel to get to trailer module & radio amp?

It's basically, take everything off the side, starting at either the hatch or the passenger door. C-pillar and D-pillar have to come out, rear latch cover. Lots of clips behind a lot of panels, all of which have to be handled carefully or you'll break them.

There's not just one set of instructions, it's multiple components, many of which dependent on something else coming out first.

WM 700319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SIDE TRIM PANEL FOR REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT (EXCEPT CAYENNE, CAYENNE GTS, CAYENNE TURBO S, CAYENNE S, CAYENNE S E-HYBRID, CAYENNE TURBO, CAYENNE S DIESEL, CAYENNE (3.0)) > PRELIMINARY WORK

Remove C-pillar trim. → 706819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING C-PILLAR TRIM
Remove the rear side trim panel. → 707519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR SIDE TRIM PANEL
Remove D-pillar trim. → 706919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING D-PILLAR TRIM.
Remove cover for rear lock support. → 703919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR REAR LOCK SUPPORT

Anyone try doing this? I couldn't figure out the rivets in the last step. They look almost like they have torx in the middle, but that didn't work, and then I tried pushing in the center in case they were pop rivets.

Figured it out. The rivets have to be unscrewed but mine were stripped. Replaced with far superior honda push rivets.

Did this once. Broke a few plastic clips. Those plastic Allen screws are real silly. They could have easily used push pins instead.

Thanks for these pics, it helped me confirm the trailer controller wiring was installed correctly. I did a hitch on my 2011 today.

PM sent.

I'm guessing it's one of these:
https://www.porscheatlantaperimeterp...-10700901.html
https://www.porscheatlantaperimeterp...8672999B9.html

From this area:
https://www.porscheatlantaperimeterp...oduct=10072913

Most of those have a flush center piece that has to be pulled outward while keeping pressure on the outer collar. That allows the spread tabs behind the panel to collapse and allows pulling the whole thing out.

Like these:

The lesson here is look up the area in question using one of the dealer online databases. That'll generally give you a list of what parts are used in the area. Then search for pictures of the part online.

There are an assortment of plastic body panel removal tools, often sold in kits. Some have finer edges that may allow removing the rivets without marring them (much). Though I'd imagine the dealer would remove/replace them with new.
