The Plastic Covers Under Our Cars

I had a panel fall off right before my trip and drove it to the airport w/o the cover on it. I'm sure it's not the end of the world but if anyone is intimately familiar with that part of the car can you tell me what those covers or shields are called? I'd like to order a replacement from Suncoast and have it next week. Hopefully a piece of plastic that is going to get the crap kicked out of it under the car isn't more than $200

gsieck is infamous around these parts
They're not expensive, but there are a lot of them. You need the correct fasteners as well. If you have the old part, the part number is on it somewhere. Otherwise, look at the parts diagram or go to the dealer and ask the parts guy to figure it out.

Panels under car

They are there to create a higher velocity of air traveling under the car. The air travels under the car and does not get sucked up into the car's parts. Increase velocity = decrease pressure. A natural downforce is created the faster you go.

You dont need it on your car but its a cool feature.

BWAHAHAHAH. Garage - all the time. I know how close you live! lol.

And - Park Place rocks! Almost 100% markup! I'll take the Boardwalk price.

I can pick it up for you tomorrow if you want, I'm heading that way.

I am going to try to get her in the air and check for any other cracks or issues in those panels and then I'll go snag one. They are in stock and I'd be shocked if they sold out by Monday

Isn't Sunset typically cheaper than Suncoast?

Yes, $75, and I would think the S&H to DFW would be a wash. I know for me in Richmond, Sunset gets almost all my orders. Sometimes Suncoast has it in stock and Sunset doesn't. Those shields also protect some of the cooling, PS, AC and fuel lines, and the front most one, the fuel tank, I htink they are well worth replacing. I just happened to also need the exact same panel. Both ears on the sides were broken, just connected by maybe 3/4" of plastic. BTW, my996, your avatar has a much nicer butt than my avatar....
