Quick electrical wiring question Orange TPMS

I am trying to hardwire a tire pressure monitoring dispay. I have located 12v key on power which is for phone module option.

I believe the phone module is:
Brown - ground
Yellow/Black - telephone mute
Green/Black - switched 12 volts
Red/Green - unswitched 12 volts

The display currently get power from a cigarette lighter adapter. The adapter has 4 wires. Green, Red, Black, White. The red and green are connected to one side of the adapter, the black to the other side. White is not used. Sorry for the bad pic.

Question is, what wire goes where and what is the best way to get a solid connection.

Cigarette adapter

Phone prep

Center tip on the cigaret adapter it usually positive. The outside/sides are negative or ground.
Hard to tell from your pic but it looks like the black is going to the outside which would be ground. The red/green is going to the center pin which would be positive.

You are right, black is outside, red and green are together and on inside.

So, black from adapter to brown phone prep and then green to green and red to red?

The manual from Orange says red is vcc green is acc and black is ground.

What is 12v switched and 12v unswitched mean?

Thanks a bunch for your help

Black from the cigarette plug would go to brown. The red/green from the cigarette plug would go to Green/Black switched. Switch=hot when ignition is on. Unswitch=hot all the time. VCC usually means constant power. So you could go Red from the cigarette plug to Red/Green and Green from the cigarette plug would go to Green/Black. Wiring it this way means something in your Orange box would always be getting power which could run your battery down.

I just hardwired my TPMS and my battery was totally drained after two days. I'm going to combine the red and green wires so they are switched from now on. I don't know why the TPMS would need a constant power?

From the manual...
1. Plug in one side of C the power cable connection into A the display located on the side.
( or cut the cigar jet , plug the power cable with ACC, VCC, Negative into fuse box)
Note: Pluging the power cable with ACC, VCC, Negative into fuse box will allow the display unit to
receive signals 24 hours a day , the LED light will turn on only when ACC is on and the LED light will be
off when ACC is turned off.
2 Install the display unit in front of driver at an appropriate position.
Stick the Velcro B into the bottom of the display unit A, and Stick the unit into the convenient place.
3. Connect the power cable C into the vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket for power connection.
4. After set up the monitor please take off the protection film from the panel of monitor.

Sorry I didn't post it at the time - would have saved you the hassel.

Thanks! I read those instructions too... but do I need to have the constant power on? Currently, when I shut off the car, the display is off...but my battery was drained in a matter of 3-4 days

Edwin,
Would be interested in seeing where you mounted it.

I put mine where my ashtray is, but am open to the other options. It is done it such a way that I can remove and put the ash tray back

Btw, did you hook up the constant power wire or did you combine the red and green to a switched power?

I combined the red and green and connected to switched power - to avoid the problem you are describing. Again, sorry for not being more clear.

You don't need constant power. I think if you have constant power the psi would display immediately (but drain your battary). When switched on, it takes 3-10 seconds to get the readings on each tire.

Function12 pointed this out and that is why I weant with combine red/green to switched power
