Rest In Peace VR Alexander. Prayers to family and friends
RIP Alex
I don't mean any disrespect but I wouldn't donate any money to this charity without learning more about it. Aside from a website with solicitations to make donations of cash or cash equivalent, there is no record of this charity being a charitable organization. No 501c, no record on Charity watch and no available financial statements. According to the website, Alex and his fiance are President and Vice President, respectfully.
This is the charity that Alex founded, and was President of...

Thank you for all your kind words.
They are much appreciated for the families involved.
It's very challenging to read them without breaking down. I'm forwarding this to them in the morning. Warmest Regards ALL!

My relationship with Alex began via phone on August 15th of 2006. He had just received his issue of Excellence Magazine that had a feature on the exhaust options we designed for the Carrera GT.
Alex bought our first production set of Carrera GT straight pipes. He told me with great fervor that he was going to make us (A.W.E. Tuning) and these straight pipes famous. He kept saying it over and over and over. It was almost to the point where I began to get a little annoyed.
Well Alex in grand fashion completely lived up to his promise.
Alex's videos have gone on to help us sell over 40 sets of Carrera GT straight pipes worldwide. The funny part is that the article was intended to be a marketing exercise to show the public what our Engineering department was capable of. Frankly we never expected to sell even a single set! We were certain that the average CGT buyer was not going to modify his car.
With Alex's help the straight pipes turned into a must have product that we could not make fast enough. It also sparked our competitors to either make copies or versions of their own.
If you go to YouTube and search "Porsche" you will find Alex Zuk's 7 minute video on the first page. It's a compilation of Alex driving his black car fitted with our pipes cruising SoCal. That video has over 3.7 Million views...
I am in my tenth year here at A.W.E. Tuning and no other client has ever generated as much buzz about a product as Alex.
Love him or hate him, he got the job done, and he did it his way.
Thank you for the memories, Alex.
RIP

I met Alex at the Clash of the Titans European Car Mag contest. I have watched him over the last few years and he has lived large to say the least!
He will be missed and I send my prayers to his family.

WOW!! I just caught wind of this unfortunate accident. He was one of the enthusiasts that I envied. He lived a live that was on the edge! He was always the coolest cat with me, and he will be missed!!
RIP Alex!

RIP Alex!
I know this is a double post but I wanted to reach everyone in this thread also...
I just want to add a personal note here...thank you, thank you, thank you...there is a reason that this car forum is the best in the world and it is because of our members...I know from talking to Alex that not all the members here got along with him, in fact, many disliked him...but those of you in that group have either simply paid your respects or if you did not have anything good to say, you said nothing....I want to thank all of you for the extreme level of class that you have shown...you can go on any other car forum and you will see all the petty, tasteless posts by individuals that used this time of sadness to strike out at Alex as if he were still with us...I feel blessed to be a part of this great "family" as Jody put it...RIP Alex

Longtime lurker, first time poster. It seems VR was more involved here than the other forums he and are were both on, so I felt like dropping in.
Almost exactly a year ago we lost another great car enthusiast, John. 3 years ago on another board these guys faught tooth and nail (over a girl) and Alex was taking quite a bashing from myself and John until one night out of the blue, VR gives me a phonecall, and after that we got to be pretty chummy, actually all three of us. VR started popping up for cigars and hotwings and I got to see a mortal enemy (in internet terms) turn in to a friend. The whole threadwar was in the past and he was always smiling and joking with me at every turn and calling me out for not taking the atomic hotwing challenge he threw down. We did not see each other in person so often over the last year, maybe about 5 months ago we met briefly, but he was always on the move. He was also assisting a friend get some vintage HRE wheels restored.
About a year ago (not exactly sure when) a friend of mine called me up to say her relative was dating some guy with a crazy Porsche out in Vegas, and I knew right away it was Alex. It was worth a quick chuckle, but it never came up inconversation again with her or Alex.
Yesterday she sent me an email from another source, I have not seen it posted here. She told me she rode with him on the same course the day before for qualifying. At first I was happy to hear from her, but sad because of the common thread.
Warning contains photo of the wrecked car, nothing graphic: Las Vegas man killed Saturday during speed race on Geiger Grade
