Exclamation Problem with 997.1 Parking Light - Help!

Hi everyone,

I bought my 2005 Carerra S about a month ago and have enjoyed it so far very much, but I started having a small issue.

I get a warning light when I start the car for my "Front left side light."

So I looked it up in the manual and found that its my parking light, which is out. So I bought a set of bulbs and went to replace it.

Once I replaced it, still out. So I swapped bulbs with the right side, which confirmed that the bulb is fine. Then I swapped the whole piece the bulb plugs into (The black part that receives the bulb), which confirmed that piece is also working.

I looked and looked for a fuse that might apply but did not find one, yet still used my fuse checker for all of the fuses in the box and they're all working.

Not sure where to go next other than the dealer, can someone help me avoid that trip?

Thanks,
Jim

I had a similar problem once, was a bad connection at the main plug for front bumper wiring. Just needed cleaning then was ok. It's behind the passengers headlight, just remove the headlight with the tool in the toolkit then reach in there to the back against the wheel arch liner, or have a look with a mirror and light. You can actually just bend the metal tab up that the plug is clipped onto to make it easier to disconnect. Check it for any damage and spray with some electrical contact cleaner.

Great, I'll try that out. Thank you 918spyder for the suggestion.

Open to others while I give this one a shot if anyone else has experienced this.
