help changing a blown headlight

hi guys, as you can tell, it's my first time and first porsche....I picked up an 86 911 and am absolutely in love with it. 3rd owner white/cocoa?(dark red).

however, my right headlight blew and I need some assistance to replacing the light. My manual shows 3 screws to take off, but I believe the old owner upgraded the casing because there's only 1 screw on the bottom. When I take off this screw, nothing really happens because it's sealed tight. Is it safe to "pry".

I'll post a pic tomorrow. From what I see, lamp cover/bulbs are bosch.

Take from the picture thread, this is the closest match to what I have:

Thanks for any input.

It should be one screw at the bottom of the headlight ring, it’s a longer screw that screws into a white plastic piece. Once the screw is out, you should be able to wiggle the entire lamp out. While you are in there make sure the drain in the bottom of the bucket is clear to avoid water getting trapped in there.

EDIT: I can't view the photo, do you have H4's or the US spec lights?

Hey Steve....I clicked on the photobucket thread for the guy with the headlight problem and found that he was posting a picture of my car!!! I don't know how he did this...but I don't have any problems removing my headlignts, they have three screws after you remove the retaining ring that allows you to remove the headlight from the body to replace the bulb....Denny
