First Post just wanted to say Hi

Just signed up and thought I ought to introduce myself and say hello. I bought my first 911 back in 1991, an 88 3.2 Carrera Sport Coupe. Within a very short space of time I became addicted to 911's and started racing them back in 1993. Over the last good few years I tend to pick and choose what and when I compete in. My height of 911 ownership was in 2008 when I bought a 993GT2evo. A phenominal piece of kit that I am honoured to have had the privilege to own but in truth for me anyway unuseable. To fast for the road and two valuable for the track. So I sold the car and pondered on what to do next. A couple of mates race a 3.2 Carrera in a UK series called future classics. Another mate is building a SC to compete as well. So life has come full circle as in June 2009 I bought a 1989 3.2 Carrera Super Sport that is currently being built into a road legal race car. Something that I can have fun in at sensible speeds. The first 911 I bought back in 1993 to race was a Super Sport. Although technically the under dog I love the turbo look. So 2010 I'm looking forward to hopefully cheap racing. Although building the car has not been cheap as 2nd best is not good enough and in effect I have built myself a brand new 911. We hummed and haa'd about colour until the missus suggested painting it the same colour as the car I raced at Daytona back in 2002. The greatest motor racing event of my life. (so far). So there we have it. A brief history of my air cooled 911 illness that there is no known cure for. So once again, hi to all and very best regards, Graeme
