Newbie Saying Hello!

Hey Everybody!

My first post and just wanted to say hello and share a few pics of the new car. Just bought my first Porsche 911. I have always been a racing fan and wanted something for the track and the road. The 911 seemed an excellent choice for this I purchased an 01 996 from the states. The dealer I used as a broker is going to store it in their showroom for me till spring which is awesome of them. I'm dying to get it on the road haha. I've only ever driven one Porsche so far. My buddy has an 08 Caymen S. Was very pleased from that ride.

Here are a few pics. Hope to take more when the car arrives.

The car has a RUF exhaust, ROW suspension upgrade, ECU upgrade and I believe a short shift kit on it. I wish I knew what the ECU upgrade was but the dealer didn't get the info from the seller apparently. When it arrives I figure I'll take a look and see if it is a replacement unit or just a reflash.

I have been searching and can't seem to find any info on this, I believe I have a Hamann rear wing on the car. My question is, does this rear wing act as a CAI? It has vents on the side of the wing which seem to carry air into the intake trac into the air box. Is this correct? Any info would be great!

Thanks in advance to everybody!

Mother will become famous soon enough
I believe the wing does get air from the outside through the wing inlets. I do like the wing fits the body well and has alittle old school in it. Nice ride enjoy.

Thanks Mother! I agree the wing does add a little bit of the old school whale tail. One of the things that caught my eye when I first saw this car. I always thought the old tail added a unique touch to the 911.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Yes the color does seem to be a rare one. From my research I have not seen too many come from the factory with this color.

And thanks vossen. I will give you guys a shout when I'm ready for an upgrade
