Questions to ask before buying a 2004 911 4S

I am looking at a 2004 911 4S and since I am a first time Porsche buyer I could use some help in asking the right questions. Additionally are there any problems with that year and model that I should be concerned about. Or any particular questions to ask in general to ask before buying a Porsche.

My first questions would be...
Are you the first owner and do you have all the service records, keys, books, and other stuff that came with the car ? You want to hear " Yes " to both sides of that question.
In my opinion, anything short of that would never get to the next stage which is getting a PPI from a reputable Porsche service center or knowledgeable independent specialist. They'll know the answers to your second question which, unless blatantly obvious, you can not determine with a casual test drive.
If you can't find an '04 that meets the " one owner requirement - got the stuff " question keep looking at newer cars until you find one.
Lot's of info and many opinions on a site like this so do some homework on your own. These cars are great fun to own and drive if you get a good one.
