Tirerack.com. Then have them installed at a local shop; tirerack has a list of shops in your area.
Are you in the city or the 'burbs?
If you are nw burbs I can recommend a shop.

Tirebuyer.com, like tire rack but most tires are shipped free...I went back and forth and went with tirebuyer as it was cheaper in the end. Service was great and fast.

My husband got his 911 Carrera S this summer. How long can I expect that his tires will last? What's the average cost for 19" high performance tires? (I'm expecting that it's not going to be cheap!!)

Thanks,
Sandy

Thanks for the offer!! The car is still new so it will be awhile before we're in the market for tires but it's great to get some resources so that we can plan ahead.

As a disclaimer' the information below is meant to educate the reader and for that purpose only. It is not meant to be construded as expert testimony nor should it be considered same in a divorce court should the reader become overall upset at the said informations references to tire costs associted with her current husbands ownership of a Porsche.

With that said, in normal to spirited driving, his rear tires will may last 15 k miles, give or take a few thousand either way. The fronts will last until the replacement set of rears wears out, in my experience. If he tracks the car all bets are off on tire life.
A set of Michelin rear tires specificly made for his car will run between $ 1,000 to $ 1,200 +/- , fronts about $ 800 for the set . Michelins are all I use on my Porsche but there are other brands in use and available that carry a Porsche rating and that many on this board think highly of so there are several good choices. I general though, they are similarly priced so my numbers would be in the ball park regardless of the brand you buy assuming the tires carry a Porsche rating. ( Porsches tire ratings are explained in the cars documentation and the tire retailer will can explain it to you. The short story is that tires that carry a Porsche " N " spec rating have been specifically approved by Porshce for each of the vehicles they produce.)

12 to 15k is my experience with rear lifespan, and the fronts usually go every other pair of rears.
