It is a nice looking 911, but I don't get what all the hype is about?
Before I get flamed here, please be aware that my '14 TTS Coupe is my first ever Porsche, so I don't claim any expertise in the history of the 911, or Singer for that matter, outside of some general history and model changes of the 911 and the Turbo over the years.
Happy to learn, though.

Congratulations on your Turbo. Singer is a Porsche hot rod shop, based in So Cal. In my opinion they produce one of the most highest quality custom builds out there. There are a lot other great builders, but I happen to think Singer just builds bad *** cars, but of course the at a high cost. "Low" $300K - $500K. Yup, that is a Lottery ticket and then some. But they take "attention to detail" to another level, EVERY part of the car is touched during the build. You can Youtube "Singer Porsche" and you will see a lot information on Singers. They are truly rolling works of Art.... I am constantly amazed the many details they put into their cars.....

That's why you don't get the hype. He's somehow managed to create a modern version of the classic 911, without offending the purists who like things to remain as OEM, as quintessentially Porsche, as possible. Its heart and soul remains untouched, yet it has been forcibly enhanced and improved without being altogether noticeable. The best qualities of the car were allowed to shine through, without being overshadowed by the changes.
truly a work of art created by someone who has set the bar on craftsmanship insanely high! i want!

Just as benw and meihwah state, Singer captures the essence of the 911 of old and modernizes it. It's seemingly quality in its purest form. No offense to your 2014, but Porsches as of late, in the opinion of many, are a bit "watered down". Again, just people's opinions. This is why older cars are commanding a huge premium as a used car especially the 930, 964 and 993 models. I would bet 10 years from now, 2014's would be cheaper to buy that those models.
Although I'm not a fan of grey cars (ironic that I own one), I LOVE that color combination with that color interior. If I could upholster mine tastefully in that color, I would. If I had the money now, I would pay for a Singer than a brand new 911. Then again, at those price points, I could probably afford to get both.
