Pictures of my 86
I changed the stock steering wheel for a Momo Course several years ago. I think it sits back toward the dash nearly an inch more than the stock wheel, because it's much thinner in profile than the stock wheel. The new steering wheel is also smaller in diameter, by a couple of inches. The steering response is much quicker because less turning is required of the wheel to get to the same place. After I installed the new wheel, I found that I couldn't see all the gauges properly, so I turned them counterclockwise so I could my tach and odometer without turning my head.
