Gorgeous '73 RS clone
Felix, that is a backdated big bumper car. (Ie a 3.2 Carrera or possibly even a 964) I have read a few articles and would love one as well. Old school looks with newer car reliability, safety and power. The 17" fuchs are cool.

Viva la RS!

Viva la RS!
Always good to see other approaches though.

I don't know about you guys, but those machined, late offset Fuchs wannabes drive me crazy. Can't stand them.
They, with their later offset, give this away as a 964 based replica. That late offset is needed to clear the ABS brakes. There have been a few articles on these cars, and the consensus is that they nice and easy to drive, but the weight makes it impossible to capture the magic of the early cars. But to each his own...

The muffler on that car really looks good, but looks SO out of place on a long hood, IMO.
With that said, I would take the car in a second. It's beautiful. There's just a few things I'd change...

I'm sure that thing is much more streetable than my car- AC, softer suspension, radio, ABS, sound insulation... So someone that's looking for something a little softer they have a place, and compared to most cars nowdays they are cartainly not soft.
Personally I just prefer my brew a little higher octane...

I like the car...even if it's a replica...but the 17 inch flat Fuchs just dont make it....16 inch or they are not Fuch's. I wanted to install Brembo's on my 87 but couldn't unless I installed a 17" wheel for the required clearance. I decided the look wasn't right...so I still have my 16" Fuchs.....Denny
how about the real deal went for 221k on ebay but reserve was not met:

Yea, the market is crazy now. Real RSRs are insane. Less than 4 years ago you could get a real one for under 100, some say 80-90 if you found the right deal.
I think the Lindsey Racing 17" fuchs look all right; not great, but better than nothing. Moses on Pelican has some 17" fuchs that look even better, but they are cast, and I wouldn't trust them at the track...
