Advice Please!

Is it ridiculous to purchase a car only to want and paint it?

I really like the interior color, the lower mileage, and location of this car.

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&searchType=21&paId=230 321422&pageNumber=2&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumR esultsPerPage=0&sortorder=descending&sortfield=YEA R+descending%2CPRICE+descending&certifiedOnly=fals e&recnum=108&leadExists=true&criteria=K-%7CE-%7CM-_41_%7CB-35000%7CD-_386_%7CN-N%7CR-500%7CI-1%7CP-YEAR+descending%2CPRICE+descending%7CQ-descending%7CZ-85748&aff=tucson

However, I don't like the color and would love to have it painted a seal gray color...
What do you guys think? Advice? What do you think about the price?

Thanks!
Hawgdriver

Paint it whatever color makes you happy! It's a car. Seems like a nice car, in an unusual color. Buy it and do with it what you please.

In all honesty, this is not the economical way to go about things. You are much better off finding a car the color you like. Although I consider nothing sacred on a car, and think you should modify to your taste, you will both end up with more in your car this way, AND have killed its resale value. A bad double whammy.

I had seen some numbers recently on here for a good paint job. Seems like they were in the 10k range. If you are just wanting to go to a fairly common factory color anyway, like seal gray, just keep looking for the car you want.
