HELP! - Is this a good deal? 1986 944 130k miles 4k firm?
Hey Guys,
I've always loved this body style and this car looks like a very clean model...
http://autos.yahoo.com/usedcars/deta...2hlJmFtcDttbz0-
is this a good deal?
My last car was wrecked in an accident where a lady ran a red light and totaled my truck, and now I have the money in hand and need a vehcile ASAP... this is slighly outside of my budget, but I REALLY like it and want to know if this would be a good stretch.
It's not a turbo... but one of the questions I have is... would I be able to put a turbo on it, and if so, how much would that run me?
thanks!

Personally, If you need a ride ASAP, I'm not so sure that I'd pick something with that many miles and that age. You may be looking at $$ for repairs and maintenance. But, if you wanted to pick it up as a 2nd ride and/or use it for autocross, that's not a bad idea. But as an everyday driver, you may want to consider something else. Just my opinion. =)
Best of luck with whatever you choose to do! 944's are great autoX'ers!

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I had to get wheels this weekend (been w/out for 2 months after an accident) because I got the insurance money finally.
I think the Porsche was a scam, because the guy never called back, and I found some other postings by him that were for other cars, but done identically (ie. same number of pics and kinds of shots, same exact verbage only for another car, same type of thing, same phone #, etc.). Too shady.
I picked up a 95 Disco with only 108,000 on it. So far, I am VERY pleased with it.
I still want a Porsche though... wishing I could afford a 997, but... that will have to wait a while.
But, now that I have another truck under my belt, the next purcahse will probably be a project car.
Any ideas? Maybe the 944 isn't the best idea after all?

PS - can someone email me info on becoming a supporting vendor?
