Suspension upgrades?
What are your goals with the car? Are you going to be doing any track events, autocross, etc, or is it just going to be a street only car. There are some cheaper options, and there are full blown coilover options, just depends on what you want to do with the car.
what car? for example, it would be very different from an early 944 to a 968
what budget?
how much do rattles and noises bug you?
how soft do you want your street ride? how stiff can you stand it?
does it snow where you are? will you be driving the car in bad weather?
this is the slippery slope though - "track/street" is a misnomer that should really read "i want to do both with the same car, no matter how bad an idea it is"
if you are only going to do some DE events and such, then there are a lot of things you can do, in varying degrees of complexity and expense, that will improve things
however, a track car will not be streetable, and a street car will not be competitive on the track - you need to realize those limitations
tire and wheel choice also plays heavily into what suspension to choose
it's not really a "brand thing"

I have a 83 944 and I am having a hard time finding a suspension system. I was interested in the JIC coil over system from Lindsey, but I want some sugestions on other systems that I can also consider as an alternetive option that you all may have Knowlegde of. Ride qulity is not a concern and the car will not be driven in harsh weather conditions. My buget is close to $10,000 so price should not be an issue, and after I have chosen all suspension componets and installed them then I will make all necessary ajustments and modification as needed. Thank you flash968 for your help!
the early 944s are a bit different than the rest, but there are still things available - i'm a bit out of date on what's available for the early cars - i'd call over to paragon products and talk to jason or chuck - they have a pretty extensive range of things for you, and can probably work out what will best suit your needs
