924 S Turbo upgrade?
924 S Turbo upgrade?
Well, I am also a new member here, and I am hoping for some extreme advice my 1987 924 S. I am having about 4 major problems that I want fixed, and I am NOT very mechanically inclined. First my clutch is dropping to the floor and sticking there. I have no idea what would cause that. Second, There is a strong smell of fuel inside the car. Third, my sunroof isnt working, I know there is a motor in the back of the car, but how do I know which part I need to fix? Fourth, I want to put a Turbo inside this car, will a 944 turbo fit? and if it will fit, what other components of a 944 Turbo engine would I need to slap on the 924S engine? I am very sorry if these questions seem rediculous to anyone, this will be the first car that I will ever tear apart, and put back together, so whatever help you could all give, would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

Check clutch main from master to slave cylinder. It has a rubber section that wears and eventually blows. Next to go is master cylinder then slave. my experience is once one is replaced on well worn systems, the other will go. If nothing is leaking try bleeding, but this process can be a pain and if you don't have a power bleeder suggesting taking to someone who does.
As far as the turbo goes your best bet is a total engine swap. You'll save yourself alot of hassle as all you have that is compatible is the block and even then you don't have the right compression ratio. I have one for sale, will post.
