Get the back issue of Excellence Magazine April 2006...In there Pete Stout writes 13 pages about his 2,500 mile experience behind the wheel of CTR 001/aka Yellow Bird. I think I've read it about 30 times....great piece.

Odd that the green CTR doesn't have air intake ducts on the rear fenders. Was this one of the 28 original CTR's manufactured by Ruf?

The naca ducts on the rear fenders were only on #001....they DID NOT work, so were discontinued. That style came back again w/the Rturbo narrow body cars..

Thanks for the info. One would think they were better then nothing based on how intercoolers work.

The i/c's in the inner rear wheel well get air from under the car plus drawn through them from the engine fan. But at the end of the day, the CTR is a "fuel" cooled car...they dump so much fuel in that thing to keep it from detonating...crazy stuff.

contact the guys at Ruf Auto Centre in Dallas. www.rufautocentre.com or better yet, come to Dallas for a visit. There's always a lot of Ruf candy there to look at.
