1/4 Mile AND Dyno testing the 930
Recently finished building my 930 and finished with the dyno tuning and wanted to get some real world track tuning done. Hopefully I can get the videos up and working? This was unfortunately the slowest run of the night, but I have to get the video up on youtube first. The objective was to leave very easy and just run it up through the gears for data logging and tuning. Three passes were made with no boost changes.

This was running with a very healthy corvette on slicks. The thing shot out like a canon but Porsche horse power humbled him at the finish. Later he wouldn't even look at me, go figure. I thought everyone just wanted to have fun?

what gearbox and clutch and pressure plate are you running. are you using stock 930 axles. also the weight of the car? i have a 78 930 weighing less than 2400 pounds with a modified ls7 engine with similar naturally aspirated crank horsepower. i am assuyming that your dyno is rwhp. i do not drag race the car but am interested in your combination.. thanks for any info!
I'm running a G50 5spd with LSD and using a Sach racing pressure plate, however on some of my higher hp 911 turbo's I like the Spec setup single disc sintered iron, same material used on NHRA prostock cars I believe? The car is weighing about 2595 empty with a very light fuel load. The hp figures are rwhp numbers. I also much perfer road racing and wanted to build a car with good mid range response. The 1/4 mile testing is a very good tuning platform for real conditions. Example tuning with a inertial dyno you can't always duplicate realistic engine loads, so when running on the street the tune always seems to need minor adjusting. My motor was unable to produce the boost levels that I had on the dyno, so hp and tq were way down. A heavier wastegate spring should take care of that? Sorry with the windy response, it seems you're the only person with any interest about such things here?

I guess I am not familiar with your set-up. I am presuming EFI etc. with that kind of horsepower and torque. 2595 is light..fiberglass bumpers? racing seats? no A/C (down here..your wife must be way more understanding than mine) I did have the same Corvette experience with a 2004 Z06.. but I am just running CIS . Fantastic results on your car though.. who did the work??

Yes, it is efi and it still has a/c! I did the tuning and most of the work on it. Just a hobby for me really.
