I just bought a 1982 930 Turbo. It has 55K miles on it. It rolled off the delivery truck, into the street and promptly ran out of gas. I hope....

So I had it flat-bedded to the shop I was going to have it checked out and serviced at anyway. That really isn't anything to do with my questions though, oddly enough.

So here goes:

1. Cassette holders. Obviously, I don't have any use for these. What happens if you remove them? Is there an enclosure behind them that can be used as a cubby, etc? Options to use this space while not destroying anything original so it can be put back in the future?

2. CAn the rather wide bumperettes on the rear bumper be replaced with the smaller ones like I have on my 1984 widebody vert?

I'm sure I'll have more questions in a few days when the shop gets done with the car and gives me their report.
