Lots of $$$$$$$ in that car !
No doubt!! The interior looks like it came from the factory with those racing seats and door panels. I also like the clear tail light lenses. Very nice work! Do you have anymore pics of that headlight conversion? I've seen some of those kits on some british websites, but I haven't seen any in person. It looks great though!

My 86

First pic is when I purchase. Now I have a Fresh engine and turbo rebuilt, Koni coil-overs front and rear, 89 front sway bars, and front and rear cross-drilled rotors.

cost

would a 951 cost as much to run as an 84-89 911 on average?

Re: Cost

I have never own a 911 but my freind own at 82' 911 and has been pretty dependable. I orginally tried to purchase a 86' 911 turbo but the price of those cars where still in the mid to high 30's. I have own my 951 for 6 years and it has been very dependable. The only main difference I've seen and have comparied is the maintainence cost is higher on the 911. I have used my 951 as a everyday car for a year and never had a issue, but I have replaced the steering rack and alternator, after 6 years of ownership. (But I have to clarify that when i purchase the car the pervious own took it to Jiffy Lube for oil changes and they only put 4 quarts of oil in the car. The 944 turbos take about 6 to 6 1/2 quarts of oil. Number 3 bearing was bad and started knocking something awful after 2 weeks. Purchase car with all maintance records since the car was new but realize later after purchase the car was neglacted in maintainence with his 1 1/2 year of ownership. So I opted for a fresh engine rebuild, turbo rebuild, new Coil-over front and rear, replace sway bars to 89 version, upgrade all rotor to cross-drilled to a total price tag of over ten grand. I truly enjoy every drive in the car, I fell the car is equal in driver enjoyment to my Acura NSX.

Question Booyakka do you still have the RS wheels.

Hey Booyakko wanted to know the Spec on the Rims and what tires size did you use front and rear. The wheel is really tempting me/

Pete, do you have any details on how you ended up w/those seats? Very, very nice.

04GT3RS, do you have build pictures? Sounds like a cool car!

Gee...I forgot to look here after posting the pictures. Thanks for the compliments!

Josh, that's about all I have about those headlights. Buckets and covers are D9 ( Deutsch nine, http://www.deutschnine.com/) parts. Lights themselves are bike parts, separate low & high beams. I made the bracket myself out of 1 mm aluminium sheet and covered them with CF lookalike.

Ahmet, seats are "Pole Positions", in quotes because I made a mold out of a real one and a pro boat build shop did a series of 10 seats for myself and my friends. Professional upholstery, leather and original script cloth, both seats and door panels. I fabricated a mold from upper part of doors, made a pair of those and joined them to flat glass fiber panels. Also rear panels are similarily covered, although frames are second hand originals.

Those seats and door panels with matching non-sunroof vinyl roof lining is for sale.
I also have a full set ( = VR MAF + MAP + PB + WS & WBO2 + EGT gauge integrated into a 951 wiring loom ) of Vitesse Racing Engine Management for sale. PM for details.

The car has been recycled due aquaplaning @ 60 mph.

For some reason it would not let me post a pic in the advance settings ???[/quote]

Wow, Flamingo...not many of those! And in excellent condition! Are you interested in buying my seats and door panels...? Burgundy cloth and leather, seatbacks in Flamingo.

PS. I corrected the link to Flamingo in the quote.

Booyakka - Thanks for the pics of your 951 with the Ruf's. Can you post the wheel sizes and the offsets. I've had 17" Ruf's on my 951S for about 15 years and I want to go to 18" or 19".
Thanks
