TurboS944 is infamous around these parts
Fuel Problem

1989 951 runs fine most of the time but occasionally while driving at a constant speed on the freeway the car will skip or hiccup as if temporarily losing good fuel supply. Two days ago it started up but stalled when I gave it gas. Did so twice and then ran fine afterward.

The fuel supply hose has recently been replaced and I have ordered a new fuel pump and spare DME fuel relay that will be here Friday and installed over the weekend.

Any suggestions as to what else I should be looking for? Trying to do these fixes myself so any instructions you could provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

David

look at the tps sensor and the crank sensor and harness. these can get loose or frayed and get an intermittent signal.
