Have you seen a 944 with 19" wheels on it? It looks dumb...

Stick with 17" or 18" wheels at the largest. 17" is really what looks the best and even an 18" wheel starts to look too big and out of place, but that depends on the design of the wheels too. This isn't a bad thing since 17" wheels and tires are significantly cheaper than 18" (and WAY cheaper than 19"!) and you have far more selections in 17" than 18", and again WAY WAY WAY more choices in 17" than 19".

I ended up lowering the rear through the excentric bolt. Was much easier and gave me the drop I needed. I am so happy I didn't have the reindex. The car is nice and level now.

I am not going with 19's, I agree they look too big on the car. I found a nice set of 18's for it. I would go with 17's but I am afraid they won't take up that little bit of wheel gap the rear has. I wouldn't mind putting a 40 size profile tire in the rear but, I wouldn't want to go much bigger. I think aftermarket wheels with big profile tires look absolutely hideous. I'd rather leave the stock tires on the car if it came to that.
