Check out my lava turbo blanket and wrapped exhaust!

Well I am fixing an issue I have dealt with for quite some time......heat from my turbo! I have had burned bumpers from a shop leaving the exhaust tip too close to the bumper, and burned myself one too many times! My solution was contacting PTP turbo blankets. I have used them in the past on other cars. There stuff is TOP notch in price and quality. The difference in engine compartment heat with this stuff is night and day. You can actually put your hand on the turbo blanket after a full blown run on the dyno.......we tested it on a buddies cobra last weekend His under hood engine temps are like a naturally aspirated car now. I am VERY pleased with this modification! I am using the new Lava turbo blanket and lava wrap. When I ordered my stuff they told me they were coming out with turbo blankets for 996's and 997's so it is cool they are jumping on at least a few Porsche items for us! Just a cool modification I thought I would share with you guys. Sorry the engine is VERY nasty. I just picked it up from the body shop so it has dust all over everything

I don't think I have ever seen someone wrap the exhaust tip as well - looks like a great wrap job though.

Ya the tip is a little different. I have a 4 inch muffler on the car so clearance is very small. It is right next to the plastic bumper so it was not going over very well with the heat Problem fixed now, and it actually looks pretty nice in person. I can make the wrap look like a magazine ad so that helps Just a lot of patience.....
