Hey guys/gals, I have a 3.8 tt in my '91 c4. It began to spit oil out of the overflow, but otherwise ran great! Upon teardown, I found that most of the rings were shattered! Not until replacing the distributor caps did I learn what caused to oil to flow out of the overflow tube, the "slave" distributor had decided to fire when it wanted to, thus ignoring the "master" distributor! Nothing that several thousand for new parts won't cure! Check your slave to be certain that the belt and the slave is in sinc with the master! TJN/vettekiller
