Value of a 965 with some seepage ?
Hey everybody,
I just got word back from the mechanic shop who was doing the PPI on a car I was interested in purchasing. Verdict is interior excellent, body very good, engine strong with 6 to 8 % leakdown, But engine is seeping and it was just resealed about 1500 miles ago. I would like to get your feedback on whether or not to still pursue the car ? What would be a fair price and potential costs associated with having a seepage problem ? As you all know, I'm new to the porsche arena and any feedback would be good feedback.
Thanks SPDRCR

Almost all do, I had some seals replaced on mine and all was good. I did it when the tranny and engine were out though, so it didn't cost as much.
The seals that usually leak are toward the front of the engine and with engine in car are very hard and expensive to replace.
If you can get a solid price and have a reputable person check the car over, it would be a nice ride.
Either you will get a hell of a deal or it will be a nightmare.
