As part of my on going Supercharged 964 split camper, I was wondering how hard it is to lower the CR of a standard 964 engine, without changing the pistons. For eg can a thicker head gasket be used or shims under the barrels.

you can have the pistons machined to lower compression. I think you can get down to around 9:1
