we have come a long way since these pictures were taken.
















At that point the car needed a service, a new oil cooler because the old one was leaking, a new clutch and some other things checked out, so we decided to remove the engine and semi-restore the car. Now on a car this age removing parts and especially parts like the engine results in a bolts snapping and a lot of parts that need to be replaced so here it goes.

When the engine was removed.

and we decided to freshen the wheels up because they were a bit tired, painted in the same color as before




i will update as the work is done..it will be ready in 1-2 weeks

haven't updated in a while the car is now finished here are some pictures from where i left off until the end

the car is washed and waxed now so i will shoot new pictures with a proper camera and post them soon and there are some small things on order to be fitted so stay tuned!

 

How's she driving since the refresh ? Awesome job documenting the work btw.

 

She's driving great, although we didn't really gave her the beans yet, we are giving the car sometime to run in the new parts and we are watching out for anything that isn't right. As far as i can tell the car drives the way it should be. It needs a new suspension tho in the near future and a repaint, we'll see about that.

I will update with more.

edit: thinking about a new exhaust too but i want to keep the heat exchangers and a new sports exhaust with manifolds and with heat exchangers on them is very pricey!

^I just installed the secondary muffler bypass pipe and love the sound. No drone but more growl when the car is pulling hard. Just a thought I doubt there is any performance gains from it though.
