How Many Traded 2012 Turbo S for new 991tt or tts and what did dealer offer for trade
I am considering trading in my 2012 TTS for a 991 TTS. my car has very low mileage. i am curious what others were offered for their 997 tt or tts from dealers. if you do not want to share publicly please pm me. thanks all!
+1. I prefer to do a private party sale and see if any dealers would be able to run it through their license to reap any tax benefits your state may allow.
I have both cars.....I'm selling my 2012 turbo s with 2800miles right now....dealer will pay 123k and i'm holding out for 135k or will keep.....I bought a 100miles 2014 turbo s for 5700 back of sticker, I thought that was a great deal!....I hope...lol
Searching market for 997TT- while asking prices seem high in a limited market saw one Penske car 2012 TTs with 5k miles silver CPO asking 132 which to me means 125 buys car-JMHO

Nevada has a tax credit for a dealer trade and no sales tax for private party sales (significant when purchasing a six figure car). During my last adventure, delaers were offering me 5K-6K behind KBB trade in or the Manhem Market Report for my vehicle. Initially I tried to negotiate having them take my car to Manheim and just giving me what the car brought at auction. Some dealers told me it was illegal-it is not. I was shocked that a car salesman would lie to me. I found a dealer back east that would work with me on the trade. Took may hours of negotiation and numerous phone calls, but the gal I was working with was outstanding. I drove my car to Manheim, ran it through the auction and they applied the sales price to my new ride, plus tax credit. Called many dealers as I worked my way back east and they all wanted to touch my car (said they needed to evaluate it)-BS, Manheim does a thorough evaluation and rates the car. They want to offer a significant amount back of book so they can make a big profit when they sell it or take it to the auction. I understand dealers are in business to make a living but not off of me. Ha! I guess many folks would not have the patience to spend a few hours on the phone as I did, but I saved 9K vs. the local dealer (including shipping).
I have a 2012 white / stone grey 997.2 tts with 2800miles pdk, clear bra, europipe.....not one flaw!! 135K

thx
these offers are in line with what i would expect. my 2012 tts has 3,450 miles and i have received three offers from three different dealers: $107,000, $117,500 and $118,000.
Realistically if a typical tt is 160msrp in 2012 - 30% depreciation from msrp on a 2 year old car is pretty good- there is dealer profit in that msrp. It is just that these expensive cars have such bigger numbers.
