VIT Tax
VIT Tax
Hello Everyone
Looking forward to a new TTS but was looking over
the 'estimated' sales tax and it didn't add up to the 6.25%
that charged here in TX. Asked my sales assoc. and he said the gap is due to the 'vehicle inventory tax' that the state charges. Never heard of it before and did some research and it's not something that is required to be paid by the buyer.
Any other owners here in Texas pay this? It's not a lot (less than $500) but I didn't get a penny off of msrp.

I'll be the first to say don't get hung up on a few hundred bucks when you are buying a car like this. Secondly ( and not to you personally) dealers will make up all sorts of BS to get you to write a bigger check. Of course they have a VIT. They also have income taxes. Wait for the income tax add on
LOL.
LOL.
Thanks for the replies. Picked her up couple days ago and very happy!! The VIT was just one of those irksome car buying things.
I'm sure I paid it somehow with last purchase...AM V12 vantage.
Sold it to get the TTS. New baby is incredible but that v12 is something special too. Just wish I had enough $$$ to own both
