Need advise!

Hi, I have a 2011 CS and it reached 40k miles now.

Since it is my first Porsche, I was surprised about the price of maintenances. I just had 40k miles maintaince and even I bought some parts from the Suncoast, I still paid $1700 dollars. Now, I have to change the tires, brake pads and rotors. The dealer quotes me $8,904.12 to do all that jobs (see below) I think I am going to order the parts from the Suncoasts to save some money and thinking about having service in local body shop. Is it necessary to have service in dealership with high labor cost?

Also, I ordered my CS in 2011 and I had trouble with trim dislocated in certain places in Interior and some of other issues. So, I asked my dealership to fix that and the dealership said "The seat is securely bolted down. It may be an issue with the back of the seat it's self. Warranty wont cover anything unless it is mechanically failed. The back button does work on the steering wheel. Warranty will not cover that unless it is fully failed. I unfortunately can not make parts fail. Warranty also does not cover the trim pieces on the interior of the car." Is anyone have an idea what I should do for this? I did not do anything wrong to my CS, but it is keep happening since I purchased car in 2011.

That list doesn't make sense. It appears to imply you are change two full sets of brakes and tires?

First up, find a good Indy in your are that knows Porsche. Second, if you are now out of warranty, have a good discussion with the Indy about what needs to be done now, what can wait, and what just isn't needed until it shows signs of problems.

x2...you're outside of warranty. Find a good Indy shop and give them your money. Heck, even for my new one, I may take it to the local indy shop for standard maintenance.

on my 09 base, the dealer quoted me $1500-1600 to change just the front brakes. the local indy porsche shop quoted the same work for $800-900. The indy also said to wait on the brake fluid flush until brakes were done...as both were coming due and as a daily driver, it wouldn't hurt to wait another 6 months on the flush.

Thanks for all reply. Yes I checked with indy shop and they are cheaper than the delearship! One more question about the brake sensors, I am going to order the part from the online. Should I just use the OEM pad and rotors? Do I need new brake sensors?
