Order Placed!!
With the colder months coming convertibles can be a bit harder to sell. It took me 3 weeks to sell mine (back in April) but I took a hit on it which I was not happy with (live and learn right?). Autotrader and cars.com are great. Some dealerships give great trade-in prices others will straight rob you.
My dealer went straight for robbery. I have my car advertised on autotrader with all the up-charges, KBB, USAA marketplace, Porsche Excellence magazine online, Planet-9, and 6speedonline. I have it listed for 10k less than USAA says it's worth and 3k less than comparably equipped 981s on autotrader. I'll put it up on cars.com too I guess. I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the tip!

Did you shop around dealerships? I am not sure how many allocations are left but out-of-state dealers were killing it when I was looking to order a 911 4s and I got the best trade in prices on my car that way too. I would also list the car on m3post (both under m3 classifieds and m5 classifieds). A lot of BMW drivers look to make the jump or get something for their significant other.
I put it on M3Post and got some immediate interest but no offers. I will put it on M5Post tonight! I'm currently talking to a potential buyer in TN but I'm not convinced that he's ready.

Btw, since you are getting the garnet/black interior I would keep the regular gauges. I just picked up my turbo cab with this interior and it is stunning, the regular black gauges are perfect. If it says anything my car is white too, and I avoided the white gauged on my build.

After looking at some pictures online I can see what you mean. I'm pretty hard headed to I'm going to give it a shot with the white gauges and replace them if I just can't stand it. I really like the black text on white. It's more natural to me, like reading a book. The tach does look a bit busy but I don't really need to read the numbers. I just need to see the position of the needle.
I'm curious after seeing another post if the seatbacks (18 way) are interior color or that crummy gray plastic. The silver unicorn with the black/garnet interior had 18 way seats and beautiful red seatbacks that matched the garnet leather. I looked closely and they were not the $1,900 stitched leather seatbacks. That could save me $2,300 on DB carbon seatbacks for sure...

Update: The Boxster is doing well here on EBay and I got a production date of 05 Dec with projected delivery around 23 Jan. Unfortunately, I'm scheduled to be deployed through mid Feb so the actual delivery may be delayed a tick.
