I cannot Tell A Lie
I cannot Tell A Lie
Was at my Dealership this morning and on the floor was a black GT3 and it was GORGEOUS. This was the first one I have seen in person. A stunning car.
A 2014 resale with 200 miles, $14,000 over sticker, No negotiation.
They just got it in and have had numerous calls.
It has as lot of presence, very nice stance and look. Not for me but the WOW factor is huge.

A 2014 with 200 miles sounds like a Porsche buy back. There has been a thread on Rennlist about the cars that were part of this list. If this were the case 14k over sticker is a pipe dream.
It certainly has a presence to it. Drive one if you get the chance. The 9k redline is fantastic. Even if the GT3 were as much as the turbo I would still take the turbo all day long. Its more comfortable, faster and the torque makes the car a great daily driver. It sounds like the 911 Chief Engineer August Achleitner agrees and would take the Turbo as well. As it turns out the Turbo S is faster around the ring with the same tires as the GT3 as well.

I agree with you. The GT3 while great looking doesn't fulfill my family needs. It is just not a DD and I don't do track days. But, from afar I am a great admirer of this macho looking beast.
couple of thoughts
First is that new GT3's can very probably be acquired for MSRP, although fewer dealer allocations may mean a longer wait for ordered cars than for TTS's. One can order the Lightweight Bucket Seats on a '15 GT3.
Second is that while a phenomenal car in design, performance and visceral connection, the GT3 may be a bit much for touring and everyday use. Suspension is different than Turbo or Turbo S and the GT3 sits an inch lower. Not sure if lowering springs for a Turbo would be the way to go, but definitely one should fit GT3 tires for track use. There is obviously great demand for the GT3 and it fills out the lineup with an accessible, track-oriented vehicle. I could have had either, but chose the TTS, as any track work will be limited relative to DD and touring. Another non-trivial point is that AWD with winter compound tires is tough to beat when it gets cold and wet in NE.
