So I'm looking to get into a 991 TTS or 991 GT3 (maybe RS?)

I'm wondering how close the 991.2 is? If I can possibly order a 991.2 in 6 months then I think I may wait, if its a year to 18 months then forget it.

I'm already seeing spy shots, so I'm assuming the C2S will debut in 991.2 form very soon. (early 2015)

I spent some time yesterday looking around for info and multiple sources say it will be announced Early/Mid 2015, and sales late 2015, they say the car will be the MY 2016.

But that's not official, I don't think there's any official info yet.

 

Yeah, It sucks. We're definitely so close to the facelift coming out, waiting also sucks though.

 

The new model is probably coming right around your deadline (6 months) if i had to take a wild guess - but as others have stated, nothing official coming down the pipeline yet!

 

Damn. I really want it for the 2015 spring/summer/fall, but If im missing the new model by 4 months, then it probably makes the most sense to wait.

 

Since you are in the Northeast, your decision may mean little or no drive time in 2015 if you wait for the update to the current 991 TT/TTS. (Unless you plan to use this as a daily driver through the winter.) The updated TT/TTS may not be announced until the 2015 Frankfurt Auto show which is in September.

Another point to consider is that all that is known at this time is some very minor styling changes which some folks don't like compared to the current design. (Note the rear facing vents behind the wheels in the spy shots.) Nothing has been reported about any technical or performance related updates.

Based upon what is known today, which is all speculation anyway, I made my decision to buy now and that having fun through all of 2015 would be a lost opportunity if I waited. For me it's not worth the wait. I am picking up my new TTS tomorrow as it came in a month early.
