Reasonable offer used 2014 991 TTS?
Reasonable offer used 2014 991 TTS?
Found a 2014 991 TTS with less than 3000 miles, non-cpo. MSRP 193K (asking 169K used). Would offering 130K be laughable or reasonable? I have no idea where things are in this market right now. If I extrapolate offers on my car (which I think are wholesale as they are from dealers) to wholesale price on the turbo I'd be looking at 116K on the turbo in a strictly percent basis if that makes sense (I, of course, know that is not gonna fly). Any input appreciated.

First question, is why is it not CPO? Was it modified? Do you have the car's history?
Second question, if it was modified, what are the mods? What's the value of the mods? Does it have any negative impact on the car?
After finding answers for the above, you can estimate better the value of the car.
I find $169k is pretty high for a non-CPO turbo S. If the car's history is clean and the mods were done by a reputed company with no hard done to the car, I'd say down to $127k would be very reasonable which is equivalent to 1/3 loss of its original value. This is applicable here in my region, it could differ in the USA however.

Southwest,
You are way off and Hassan you are out of touch with the market. To offer 130k is not laughable it is delusional for a 2014 TTS with 3xxx miles. It just launched earlier this year and eventhough they over produced the car 62k off MSRP for a 3 thousand mile car isn’t going to happen. If you looked around you may be able to find a 14 leftover TTS for the 170k but it is slim pickings right now. Most of the best ones have been bought. You could not buy a regular TT with 10k on it for the price you are suggesting. In fact the lowest priced 991 TT listed is here in Dallas and is a slick top as bare bones as you can get a Turbo at 138k.
I logged into Manheim and there has been one transaction this year below 140k for a car with near 16xxx miles. It sold at 138k(which is now listed for 154 retail). You are on the wrong car with the wrong budget. You either need to pony up more cash or keep the C4S. The car in question with a 192k MSRP is still a 160k car all day long.
Cars.com does not have a TTS listed below 154k.

If it was a CPO, I'd say he'd get it 15% less than it's original price. But out of warranty, I'd say 30% less of the original price is very reasonable... that's the way it's here anyway.
HAssaan- No where does it say it is out of warranty. It is a 2014 with a full factory warranty for a period of 4 years 50xxx miles from initial purchase unless otherwise noted. That would mean there are 3 plus years or 47xxx miles left on the original factory warranty. Southwest simply said it is not a CPO car which would extend that factory warranty.
By way of comparison I paid $168k for a brand new 991 TTS where the window sticker was $192,240. It was a leftover in dealer stock. Just got it. There is a huge chasm between $168k for a new one and $130k for one with 3K miles.
SDG exactly what I stated and the higher the MSRP better the discount on leftovers right now. It is very reasonable to get 10-13% on a 2014 TTS right now depending on options. I got my car in August at a great price as 15's were coming in at a little over 10%. A TTS with 3k on the clock is not going for anywhere near 130k.
BTW when you get your europipe are you doing headers or the Plenum? I did not yet.

I ordered my europipe two days ago. There's about a six week backlog right now. It fit the sound profile I wanted which was normal volume driven in normal and 20 percent louder in sport or sport plus. The real purpose of it was to set up freer airflow for the GIAC Stage 2 flash.
Will probably get the IPD plenum as well. Best quote I have gotten for that is $779 shipped but I won't name the vendor.
I cannot imagine any scenario where a dealer would accept $130,000 for a very lightly used 2014 Turbo S. I think more realistically a fair price is probably about $150-$160k.

Thank you for the Manheim pdfs. This is exactly why I posed the question, really had no idea where values are right now. Since you have access to that data base, can you comment on the offer I received from Carmax (I know, I know) for 79K for my 2013 C4S with 12K miles (original MSRP 131K), no mods, but did replace front bumper, left fender due to a minor (less than 8mph) self inflicted damage?

The Jax FL Lotus Dealer has/had a 2014 Turbo S with <400 miles for $169K which is probably negotiable to $164K.
I would say $155K - $162K would be a very fair price for a 2014 Turbo S with 3,000 miles.
