Here's a shot of my old 2009 Turbo cab next to my new 2015 white Turbo coupe in the Porsche shop ... some swaps occurring and some mods coming off the '09.


2015 is next off to have the clear bra and tint applied.


Not sure when I will take possession of the new car, but figure before end of present year. Hope so.

Built and ordered the car in mid November for an arrival date mid to late January '15. But, car was shipped Dec 9th and arrived state-side around the 12th. Turbo boat ?


New car was at the dealer's following Monday the 15th from RI. I was surprised at how fast this stated to happen. Holidays started to hinder things a bit ... what with my sales contact being out of town from the 10th to the 26th ... having to drop off the old car and have things removed ... getting wheels of new car to PC'r to spray satin black, yada, yada.


Was surprised to see the car early (think dealer was as well !), but now chomping at the bit to get it home and drive it like I stole it.

 

Well ... all the holidays have played havoc with the completion of 'stuff' that needed to be added to the new car.


The tint / bra guy does not work on Mondays (neither do I), so he's doing all that tomorrow. Car was detailed today, and will be done again before delivery. Center caps going on the PC wheels tomorrow, too. Radar hard wired, clear markers on, battery pig tail hooked up ... check cut for my 'equity' in my old car ... 9400 USD.


Should be picking up the car Wednesday afternoon. I have to work 1/2 day, so should be fine. Just some logistics to figure out.


GMG exhaust should have been delivered to the hacienda today, but I was on the golf course at 35* F. Not that this mod will be added soon, just hate to have a 'present' undelivered. RATZ ... !


I have to admit ... I'm more than a bit stoked! I usually don't get excited since I do this frequently, but ... well, this time, I'm ready to rock this car!

 

I was able to pick up my car today. Car looks fantastic! Tho't I'd be a bit mixed emotions giving up my '09 Turbo cab, but that quickly vanished as I looked over the car.


I was happy with my deal, walking away with a $9400 check as equity in my leased '09. I did have to part with a some cash to remove some bits off the '09, and having the '15 wheels PC'd. But, all in all ... I'm pleased.


Drove the new beast around a bit, but LEO's are out in force due to the New Years celebrates being out. So, acceleration was limited to brief 1/2 throttle bits. Plus, traffic was horrendous.
