I second on the Clearplex. It's amazing as long as you don't mind a less than crystal clear windscreen (slight haze which you quickly don't notice after a while). A chunk of metal flew off another vehicle & hit my windscreen, which caused a small crack. If Clearplex hadn't been on the windscreen, it likely would of went through & possibly killed me.
The gov't dumps a lot of gravel on the roads in winter & stones hit my windscreen all the time & just bounce off!

Make sure you order the specific one for the 991 though. I had a 997 one sitting in my garage from my other cars & thought I'd put it on the 991 turbo. I knew it would fit well, but was hoping to make a reasonable fit to get through this winter. Well b/c the arc of the 991 windscreen is quite different, it didn't go well & I ended up scrapping the clearplex, which was a complete waste. Now I'll just order the correct size. The 997 one fit okay on top 2/3's of screen then just wound apply right on bottom 1/3.
Live & learn!

Thanks I've contacted them. Easy to put on and remove then re-use every track day?

I've used Clearplex with excellent results. Did try their competitor, Bray Skin, but was a poor fit.

ClearPlex is not intended to be removed and reused. Think of window tint that is thicker, clear and goes on the outside of the glass. Similar adhesive. Check out this website. Select "Store" at the top and go from there. The preform kit is $250 and is already shrunk to fit the 991. If you want a great tutorial on how to apply check out this video.

Rep points always appreciated,
- Patrick

ClearPlex windshield film

Patrick is correct, you don't apply this stuff then take it off when you feel like it & then re-apply. It's a one time application & it lasts a couple of years. It starts to discolour after a while & just get beat up from road debris.

I would recommend not using very much soap in the application, getting some help from a friend, ensuring your windscreen is spotless, & applying it quickly after trimming correctly.

If you don't want to DIY and want to use a top notch professional installer the price is about $350 with product and install.
