I am impressed with this car, the looks and the price. I just may give it a look. Too bad there aren't but a few dealers on the east coast which is a big negative to me.

First 570S cars are due to arrive in Nov/Dec of 2015 in US. There will be a cheaper ($160K) entry level 540C with less HP (540) down the road. All cars will share the same Carbon Fiber mono cell chassis.

Anyone else notice the ly slow 60-100 mph time of the Vette..... what a POS, they are getting heat soak on many of the stock C7 Z06 and timing pull at speeds under 100 mph.... from cars straight off the rack !

A slug can do 60-100 mph in less than 4.2 secs

I'd be pretty careful about writing them off. 10.38 @ 131 on DRs

With slicks how would the TTS run the 1/4?

Owner says that he ran slicks and the car is stock with 37 miles on the clock. Very impressive even with slicks. C&D times for the TTS were with P Zero stock tires. I want to see R&T do 60+ consecutive launch control starts with the C7 Z06. That said, if the Z06 can mechanically hold up it is a very impressive effort for the money.

I saw the 570 last night at the auto show. It is very nice. Super low though. Not sure it truly can replace the TT/TTS as a car that can be driven every day.

Has all the boy racer curb appeal for way less than other McLaren's and Lambos, but for those of us who like to tour with our cars, it is probably limited even though there was a hint that the "boot" could accommodate some luggage. Definitely would not work for me because of no space behind the front seats for the dog. Of course, it will be interesting to learn how durable the 570S is once they get a few in service here. Got to believe that the company will broaden its dealer network in the US if it is serious about selling more than a relative handful of specialty cars here.

They are expanding their dealership network by a good number through 2015 and 16. Durability is indeed important and there is some data to some extent since 570S shares the same carbon Fiber mono cell chassis and (de-tuned) V8 twin turbo engine with other models such as 12C and 650S since 2012.

I would never even consider buying a McLaren new (other than a P1 which is way out of my price range). They depreciate breathtakingly fast. Now buying a used McLaren is another matter. But new is a terrible financial most unless the buyer is so rich that free-fall-level depreciation does not matter.

Certainly am looking forward to the comparos between the 570 and the 991 TTS.
