Around town in SP? Just why?? Agree with 911turboS opinion that it can be for "******-bag" identification purpose only. Leave in Sport..or if very boring then comfort but there is a really no need for drawing unnecessary attention in slow city traffic in Sport plus setting.

I said 'city'. I said nothing about 'slow'. I would not use it in bumper to bumper or 5-10 mph traffic. lol. Where I live in Vegas and where I drive, and when I drive it moves pretty well.

For example........No, I wouldn't drive on the strip on a Friday night in Sport +, but would not have a problem doing it at 7 am when it is nothing near bumper to bumper.

I prefer driving my car that way when I can. I also drive it in manual when in race also as I feel it revs a little too high for me in auto.

That's just me but it was fun reading responses.

It's whatever you like, really. I prefer Sport Auto around town, particularly when there is a lot of traffic. But I tend to prefer Automatic to Manual mode in heavy traffic, just not that fun to manually shift when you are not moving freely. Sport + in Automatic is not that fun in heavy traffic, and gives those D-bag references I posted originally about.

I hardly ever use Sport + in Automatic mode, because it is just me pressing + all the time to try to keep the revs down. 99% of my Sport + driving is in Manual mode.

But given the opportunity to stretch the TTS's legs and light traffic, I have lotsa fun in Sport or Sport + Manual mode!

not sure why you would pretty much ever want sport + in auto mode?

unless you're on a track and you just want to focus on the turns and let the PDK handle the shifting.

I like to run high RPMs in manual mode even around town, but red-lining every shift seems pretty excessive.

I run in Spirt + auto sometime. You just have to override on the upshift but never on the downshifts which is the bigger problem. Great for on ramps though.

Every time I do it though, it reminds me though that it makes a lot more sense in manual mode.

Dude, drive your car as you please.

You are not hurting anything to drive around town in SP, just make sure your oil is up to temp and don't bounce off the rev limiter.

Hope this helps

Thanks,
