Question Tire Size Question

6Speeders,

I just got a 997.2 Carrera S with PDK, my 3rd Porsche. Needs tires and am looking at the Super Sports. Thoughts on those? It looks like I can run 295's or 305's in the rear. What are the ups and downs of either?

My drive style is 80% around town, 20% Hooligan on Sundays.

Loving the car so far!

If you want the steam roller look, get the 305's. The performance differences are minimal.
I have these on my 7gt3 and they come with wide tread and fat protection lip.

The + for 295 is less $ less weight and slightly less understeer.

Tires are universally acclaimed so you're getting near to top of the pecking order. If you can find a set. Its back ordered at most places.

Thank you Bara, good answer. I had 295's on my TT with 600ish HP and they were fine....

Porsche set up the car to be balanced with the 295s IMO.
