About how far was the camera/recording device from the car? Thanks for taking the time to do a video.

A drive by clip would never do this exhaust justice. Tried to get a clip and played it back on my sound stage. It sounded completly different from actual sound. Ill try it again. Hopefully I will have better luck.

The distance was about 10 feet away for cold startup and about 20 feet away for revs.

Can you link it?? I do agree the car is going a bit slow and not enough rpms to bring up full sound.

This video makes it sound hollow if that that is the right word to use for the reving. Like there is a hole in the exhaust.

Then the slight drive by's honestly to me just sound like a truck. It's just a lot of deep weird sounding noises that don't really sound good at all.

But the video the OP posted makes it sound real good. This video they posted does more damage than good.

I think the Europipe website was done well. It captures a good representation of the real sound. When you bring rpms too high (with anything from a chainsaw to dragster) you will never reproduce the sound. The EP website made it perfect for the regular buyer. Most people dont redline their cars on a daily basis.

Sounds perfectly fine to me....I hear turbos....fresh raspy sound like porsche car...what is wrong with that? Most certainly does not sound like any truck I hear or muffler with hole. But anyway...whatever speedster...you sure do have some very unusual ears..

As you can see in video revs were mostly between 4-5k rpms. One or two went a little lower or higher, but 4500 was my aiming point.

Hope you enjoy as much as I do....
Thanks for making these videos and sharing them on the forum. Making good drive by videos is even more difficult as you usually record a lot surrounding noises. No other traffic, good quality pavement and low wind noise are essential.

No problem Stef,
The first 2 videos are farily simple and straight forward. I tried setting my camera gear up on a tripod in my special testing area in NY. The drive by sound was so different from the real thing, I didnt post it to hinder my reputation. I will try again to get a drive by, but I will only post if it sounds realistic.
Sorry to sound unconfident, but I have taken video of all of my past cars from my audi (tweaked) to old corvettes that shake ground at idle. None of them sound realistic at highspeed drive bys if you ask me compared to real thing. I have been told I have a very sensitive ear, lol.

Just to be clear. The EP comes alive over 5k rpms. A microphone to record this has its limits and will not produce a clear representation.
Think about recording the blue angels at an airshow. In person they shread past you and you feel their power, I tried to record this airshow and the audio was garbage.
The best way to hear EP or any exhaust is in person. I live on long island ny, I already Met a member to demo the EP. I open this oppurtunity up to everyone in the area to come by for a full demo in person.

Here is a drive by that was recorded with a cell phone. The exhaust makes the best sound while loading the engine. (making turbo boost)

When you go from boost to no boost you'll hear a barking sound and that is hard to capture on a video.

The first drive by sounds as close as you can get to the real thing. Great post!!
Of course. Nothing like the real thing.

Great sound clip. I have the same on my 997.2 turbo S and Stef continues to nail it on the 911 TT/TTS platform (Europipe was amazing on the 997 and continues to be sublime on the 991). Yours sounds phenomenal. Thanks for sharing.

I love my Europipe. Quiet in car except for lots of turbo noise and loud on the outside.
