The SRT8 should be ashamed of only beating that 991 by 2 or 3 car lengths. With that kind of power it should put Bus lenghts....Props to the 991.

 

Well, it weighs over 5300 LBS...but yah...it should have had a larger spread for sure.

 

I dont think that the tune on 991 was working good. It only managed 200km/h on 1/4mile

 

I have a blown 2015 Jeep SRT (Whipple 2.9) running a bit under 600 WHP. She's not fully done yet, as I plan to go forged internals and eek out the last 100 WHP I left in there, but she is very, very fast as she stands now. There is just no way a 1200 HP SRT won't beat a TTS in the quarter mile, even if that TTS has tuning.

Anyway, there's always someone/ something that's bigger, faster, stronger etc...but an SRT ain't no TTS, modded or otherwise. There's not much around in an SUV that will beat an SRT Jeep. They're just very quick - even stock.

Anyway I get OP's"'" point. It take a 1200 hp $$$ modified truck and a lot of gas to beat 650 stock sports car.....and hardly call a kill. Let us see put 1200 hp on the porsche and see result

 

Not really; it could be done with well under that, even though it's 5300 LBS vs the 911 at ~3600 lbs.

I wouldn't attempt the ring with an SRT to break a record...LOL
