Seems like I need to adjust myself to the tune!! Car is freakish fast!!
Initial SOP impressions: car wiggles side to side for a good 2-3 seconds (traction on) when accelerating WOT from 60km/h. Thats on fresh Michelin PSS on summer hot Middle Eastern tarmac!! That hasn't happened before.
Based on what I'm reading, it seems COBB customers (I just became one) report that there is a small difference at launch and the bigger difference is felt at higher speed.
GIAC stage II customers seem more "enthusiastic" about the performance gain of their tune. I sat in SDG's car who has GIAC stage II and EP exhaust and the launch control experience was unreal. It was at different level compared to my stock tts cab.
I will report back once I have COBB stage 2 installed. By the way, COBB's customer support (Mitch) is indeed world class.

GIAC has confirmed in writing on another forum that on its Stage 2 tune with stock intercooling the tune is programmed to cut timing/boost at high RPMs to keep intake air temperatures from the charge air coming from the turbos from becoming too hot. Once a car gets the upgraded Champion intercoolers that restriction will be largely removed so the top end will be much stronger.

I don't see why anyone wouldn't want a more aggressive launch
Question on Stage1 - It was mentioned that your graph showed comparison between a stock turbo s on 91 and COBB stage 1 with 93.
Which had a gain of 3.44% hp (+19 hp) and 23.21 % tq (100+tq)
why the difference in fuel grade? doesn't that discredit the comparison?
ok, had stage 1 installed. Forget numbers, this tune definitely makes a difference. and oh LC felt as violent as SDG's car, it actually broke traction and car started to wiggle. I will post review with a new thread.

For those asking about the McLaren MP4_12C vs a TTS... a saw my friends race a couple of saturdays ago, it was on a airport and we where testing the half mile system... I saw the race head to head but the system put the MP4 on 157mph and the TTS on 156mph (Both Stock)
IMHO the TTS with a tune will win over a 650S... hopefully will see that race in a few weeks

It is going to be close. TTS wins for sure with the Champion intercoolers and the new GIAC Stage 2 plus tune. But regular GIAC stage 2 I am not so sure.

Look at the trap speed, 136mph... how much do a TTS with Stage 2, Exhaust and Plenum do?
